Hawkman (1940) - First Appearance

Hawkman debuted at the same time with Jay garrick in Flash Comics #1. It´s one of the few heroes that has not changed very much in his design (the hawk head originally was wore like a hat, but later evolved to be a mask) but his origins have been rewritten and rebooted a thousand times. In the original story an archeologist named Carter Hall found an ancient knife who make him regains his memories, discovering that he was an egypcian prince married to a girl called Chay-Ara (Hawkgirl). Using the Nth metal he designed a belt an wings to create his costume to fight his nemesis.

In recent times his "better half", Hawkgirl has been more famous, thanks to the JL Animated show and had been featured in the Injustice videogame.
